Interesting article, but I believe is an alarming new trend. Would love to see the contract on this one. Is the agent's 15% for the life (or beyond) of the author? Some writers are reporting this is happening.

With big publishing buying only the crème de la crème of books, and more authors turning to self-publishing, many literary agents are getting squeezed right out of the middle.
